The Gun Safe, Fire Safe, Burglary Safe Chronicles: What I Put in My Safe (No Longer a Secret!)

The Gun Safe, Fire Safe, Burglary Safe Chronicles: What I Put in My Safe (No Longer a Secret!)
“I put in the photo album of personal photos I don’t want to leave laying around. I put in my handgun and ammo. I put in my signed Babe Ruth baseball, and I put my parent’s jewelry.”
Our clients put any number of unique items in their gun safes. The standard rule is that you’re going to put twice as many things in your safe as you originally intended.
Make sure to by a gun safe big enough to accommodate for extra room.

The Gun Safe, Fire Safe, Burglary Safe Chronicles - There is No Better Place to Buy a Gun Safely

The best place to buy a gun safe, honestly, is from a dealer who buys in volume, thus getting far better discounts than 99 percent of other retailers, and in today’s market, you MUST make a phone call to the dealer. Why?
In our case, we sell so far below the list price of some retailers, we’ve actually had the manufacturers ask us (tell us) NOT to post our prices in ads. So call.

James Bond, meet TL-30. A Burglary Safe to Protect Your Jewelry

James Bond, meet TL-30

The news reads, “ A spate of James Bond gang-style burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods stems from a combination of economic factors, lenient bail restrictions and a lack of awareness on the part of residents, police said Monday.”

It goes on to say, ““The price of gold is high, police departments have cut back on manpower and because of bail guidelines, the criminals get right back out on the streets...”

The “James Bond” style burglars “...rent high-end cars, typically work in three or four-man crews and head straight for expensive jewelry, cash and safes.”

Oh, and this part of the news story was telling: “The family’s home alarm sounded, but by the time police arrived, burglars had stolen an unknown amount of jewelry...”

Well, let me introduce Mr. Bond’s friends to a safe they can target and NOT get to before the police arrive. Meet the American Security AMVAULT CF5524 High Security Jewelry Safe

This fellow weighs 2474 pounds, and will withstand severe attacks by experienced U.L. experts using powerful tools such as sledgehammers, power saws, carbide disc cutters, drills, etc.

See it here --and keep James Bond and his band of misfits out of your valuables by calling us at The Safe Place: 775-358-7233.

Are your brakes safe? That's the question in this ad from 1947.

Which leads me to the question: Is your safe SAFE?

Some gun, fire, and floor safe look very much like safes, but they don't always ACT that way, under pressure.

We're located in Reno / Sparks, Nevada, but we ship all over America (and all the time). Now here's the best news: We can, 99% of the time, meet AND beat anyones prices. Nice...

I am glad to hear your friend was satisfied. We do our best to offer unbeatable prices and unmatched customer service. I looked at Safe and Vault and it looks like you are looking at the composite CSC4520. It looks like we currently offer a better price.

Other Company:

A Gun Safe Can Help to Keep Lawmakers from MAKING Us DO What We Should

Mike Hendricks of the Kansas City Star wrote this piece in Jan, 2011 - here.

It's about protecting kids from guns. In the article he wrote:

About 125 accidental gunshot deaths of kids 18 and under are recorded each year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Each case of death or injury is tragic and entirely avoidable.
Recognizing that, 27 states and the District of Columbia have so-called child access and prevention laws. Another goal is to keep guns out of the hands of kids who might be suicidal or intent on harming others.
If you own or want to own guns, PLEASE own a gun safe. We can help, as we are The Safe Place, 775-358-7233.

Commonsense steps to keep guns out of criminals' hands

It's been more than two months since the tragedy in Tucson stunned the nation. It was a moment when we came together as one people to mourn and to pray for those we lost. And in the attack's turbulent wake, Americans by and large rightly refrained from finger-pointing, assigning blame or playing politics with other people's pain.
But one clear and terrible fact remains. A man our Army rejected as unfit for service; a man one of our colleges deemed too unstable for studies; a man apparently bent on violence, was able to walk into a store and buy a gun.
He used it to murder six people and wound 13 others. And if not for the heroism of bystanders and a brilliant surgical team, it would have been far worse.
But since that day, we have lost perhaps another 2,000 members of our American family to gun violence. Thousands more have been wounded. We lose the same number of young people to guns every day and a half as we did at Columbine, and every four days as we did at Virginia Tech.
Every single day, America is robbed of more futures. It has awful consequences for our society. And as a society, we have a responsibility to do everything we can to put a stop to it.
Now, like the majority of Americans, I believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. And the courts have settled that as the law of the land. In this country, we have a strong tradition of gun ownership that's handed from generation to generation. Hunting and shooting are part of our national heritage. And, in fact, my administration has not curtailed the rights of gun owners — it has expanded them, including allowing people to carry their guns in national parks and wildlife refuges.
The fact is, almost all gun owners in America are highly responsible. They're our friends and neighbors. They buy their guns legally and use them safely, whether for hunting or target shooting, collection or protection.
I know that every time we try to talk about guns, it can reinforce stark divides. People shout at one another, which makes it impossible to listen. We mire ourselves in stalemate, which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.
However, I believe that if common sense prevails, we can get beyond wedge issues and stale political debates to find a sensible, intelligent way to make the United States of America a safer, stronger place.
I'm willing to bet that responsible, law-abiding gun owners agree that we should be able to keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few — dangerous criminals and fugitives, for example — from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.
That's why our focus right now should be on sound and effective steps that will actually keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun.
• First, we should begin by enforcing laws that are already on the books. The National Instant Criminal Background Check System is the filter that's supposed to stop the wrong people from getting their hands on a gun. Bipartisan legislation four years ago was supposed to strengthen this system, but it hasn't been properly implemented. It relies on data supplied by states — but that data is often incomplete and inadequate. We must do better.
• Second, we should in fact reward the states that provide the best data — and therefore do the most to protect our citizens.
• Third, we should make the system faster and nimbler. We should provide an instant, accurate, comprehensive and consistent system for background checks to sellers who want to do the right thing, and make sure that criminals can't escape it.
Porous background checks are bad for police officers, for law-abiding citizens and for the sellers themselves. If we're serious about keeping guns away from someone who's made up his mind to kill, then we can't allow a situation where a responsible seller denies him a weapon at one store, but he effortlessly buys the same gun someplace else.
Clearly, there's more we can do to prevent gun violence. But I want this to at least be the beginning of a new discussion on how we can keep America safe for all our people.
Most gun-control advocates know that most gun owners are responsible citizens. Most gun owners know that the word "commonsense" isn't a code word for "confiscation." And none of us should be willing to remain passive in the face of violence or resigned to watching helplessly as another rampage unfolds on television.
As long as those whose lives are shattered by gun violence don't get to look away and move on, neither can we.
We owe the victims of the tragedy in Tucson and the countless unheralded tragedies each year nothing less than our best efforts — to seek consensus, to prevent future bloodshed, to forge a nation worthy of our children's futures.

Advice on Buying a Safe When you Want Your Guns Safe and Out of The Hands of Young People

Found this bit of wisdom on a site called "The Cornered Cat."

A handgun is easily transported around the house, invisible to friends and casual callers but still within your direct control at all times. It is easy to answer the doorbell armed with a handgun, without anyone being the wiser.

The handgun can even be drawn, discreetly concealed behind one leg as you open the door. Unlike a long gun, a handgun can always be available for instant use without unnecessarily threatening legitimate callers.

Handguns are also most easily kept accessible to adults but out of the hands of small children, more so than shotguns and rifles. As I've written elsewhere, when our children were very small, I soon began to develop a well-earned skepticism about my ability to know what the little darlings were up to in the next room.

The kids, bless their active little hearts, gave me more than a few exciting little lessons about why I should not trust "child-proof" locks, or (worse) simply rely on their good natures to stay out of trouble. And the day I found a two-year-old sitting on top of my refrigerator, I realized that putting things "up high where the kids can't get it" was just a sick little joke.

"He'll never look there."

"He'll never look there!"

My harrowing parenting experiences soon taught me that if I wanted the kids to stay out of something, I should not rely on anything less than a lock designed to keep adults out of that thing.

A gun locked inside a sturdy safe would frustrate an adult thief, and so I could also trust the lock on the gun safe to keep my children out. But a gun balanced on the top shelf of the closet, hidden between the mattresses of the bed, or leaned casually against a wall in an off-limits bedroom would be just as easily accessible to a determined child as to an adult thief. If the gun was out of my sight, it had to be locked up.

DO NOT own a gun without owning a safe. And Let me tell you this too: ANY AMOUNT of reminders and/or harassment (by us) is better than anything we could say after an incident. Call us for your options and please, please, call us before you ever think you need a safe. We are The Safe Place at 775-358-7233.

Buying a Gun / Fire Safe from a Recommended Company, On-line, Discreetly

A search of gunsafes, gun-safes, or gun safes on-line brings up a dizzying array of choices. Everyone says their gun and fire safes are the best --and that they can offer the lowest prices. I keep an eye on forums and notice that people are singing the praises of $400 gun safes and safes bought at sporting good stores “on sale.”

Where to buy? Who to trust? And what safes are really “safe” --and which ones can be opened, as you see all over the internet, in 10 minutes with a pry-bar”?

For advice you can trust, for fire or gun safes at prices you might like, call us at The Safe Place: 775-358-7233

Protect Your Valuables with a Gun, Fire, or Burglary Safe (at the Right Price Too)

It’s easy, these days, to have $10,000 or $20,000 worth of electronic equipment laying around the house. Jewelry, things you’ve just “had for years,” can be worth a pretty penny. Some people, like me for example, can have thousands tied up in rare documents, things that are quite literally, irreplaceable.

That’s why you buy a safe. So you don’t lose things you don’t want to lose. Guns too! No gun should be left in a place where it can be handled by anyone but its owner.

For a great selection; great prices (maybe the lowest price you can find on the best safe); great service; and easy delivery ---no matter where you live in the U.S., call us at www.TheSafePlace.com. Our phone number is 775-358-7233.

THe Right Safe to Protect Your Valuables, At the Lowest Price

Safes, they serve a purpose. They buy time (as the article, below, points out). If you buy a safe for your guns, pistols, jewelry, cash, coins, or any valuable you don't want stolen, you but time and security.

But you have to buy the right safe. Every week I get a list of articles published on-line about safes. Many of them are about safes that were carried away, opened with common tools, or were incorrectly installed. Oh, and I marvel at the stories of big amounts of cash taken from safes hacked out of a wall --or stories like that where valuables are stored in things that they should be stored in (you don't buy a $150 safe to secure $10,000 in cash.

Please consult with us before you buy any safe. We'll save you time, money, and quite possibly, some painful losses.

We are The Safe Place. Call us, any time at 775-358-7233.

Walgreens stores in Knoxville have time-locked safes as new defense against pain pill robbers

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — With pain pill robbers sticking up pharmacies everywhere, Walgreens is putting the products in time-locked safes in its Knoxville drug stores as an expansion of a program that has proven to be a success.

Under the eye of security cameras, robbers apparently don't like having to wait.

Police records show drugstore holdups have dramatically increased in recent years, along with abuse of drugs such as oxycodone.

Knoxville and Knox County officers worked 44 drugstore robberies last year, nearly double the total from the year before.

Walgreens spokesman Robert Elfinger said the pill safes have proven effective in Washington, Oregon andIdaho.

Company officials told The Knoxville News Sentinel that by the time a robber gets the pills, police should be walking through the door.

Gold in a Gun Safe? Maybe You Should Call Us, First.

The headline read...
The State Fire Marshal's Office has ruled arson as the cause of a house fire in DeGraff last Friday.
Officials believe the fire was intentionally at the North Koke Road house to cover up a burglary.
Family members said the couple who owns the property were in Florida at the time.
While firefighters were putting out the blaze, they discovered large gun safes with the backs cut out. Officials said the owners kept gold and silver in them.
A firefighter was injured fighting the fire and was treated and released from the hospital.
There is a $5,000 reward and anyone with information about the case should call i-800-589-2728.
