Armored Safe Sales Consumer Rip-Off Warning

You may be familiar with the advertisements on the back pages of newspapers done up to look like actual newspaper articles, or at least press releases of some significance, but are really just hype piled upon hype to sell the unwary public less than valuable coins.
Well, today I just about lost my lunch while reading about the so-called free armored safes being doled out to the public to house the hoard of 4,100 coins they wish to sell you.
It turns out that the hoard of coins is actually 4 rolls worth of prexie bux and 100 rolls worth of 2005 Bison nickels. Total face value of coins: $300.00. Cost for hoard on top of shipping for free safe: $1,862.00. Of course all the mumbo jumbo in the ad is meant to conceal these facts. They've even got a photo of the demographic target of these ads, some white-haired old biddy, smilingly accepting the free safe delivered to her doorstep by a uniformed delivery man.
There's even more to write about concerning this ad, including another real looking article immediately above it urging people to start a coin collection and buy a safe as hedge against failing banks, falsely laying bait that the prexie bux are made of real gold .
I've given this topic a start, and I'd like to see some others who have seen the ads chime in with their impressions. Sure, it's a lot like the usual we've come to expect, but it seems even more insidious under the current circumstances. And from what I've read, during financial bubbles, this type of deception for ruthless profit-making is all the more prevalent than at times of more sober economic practices.

I found the post, above, on a coin site, and the scam is being perpetuated by a company that's selling "armored" safes under at least this and one other ruse. If you want to buy a safe, gun safe, fire safe, and/or ANY kind of safe, call 775-358-7233. We are The Safe Place - and we are honest.

Low Prices, Discounts, and Bargains on Gun and Fire Safes in Oregon

In Oregon, in or around Salem and Portland (or in any city in the state), if you’re looking for the very best, the lowest price on a safe, whether it be a gun, fire, floor, wall, pistol, burglary, or depository / drop safe, for home or business, the way to find that price, is to pick up your phone and dial The Safe Place at 775-358-7233.

You see, a manufacturer may not let some safes companies, like ours for example (we buy in big volume and sell more safes in month that many dealers sell in a year), advertise our lowest rates. So the way to find a price that is lower that what is advertised, in today’s on-line safe sales market, is to actually call for your quote.

The Safe Place is located in the warehouse friendly state of Nevada, but we ship all over the US and beyond. It’s our business --and we’re experts at it. Call us for the absolutely best prices for anything related to the safe storage of guns, valuables, paper, media, jewelery, autographs and manuscripts, coins, and anything you consider valuable --that will fit in a safe, and that you don’t want to lose to a thief, fire, or natural disaster.

James Bond, meet TL-30. A Burglary Safe to Protect Your Jewelry

James Bond, meet TL-30

The news reads, “ A spate of James Bond gang-style burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods stems from a combination of economic factors, lenient bail restrictions and a lack of awareness on the part of residents, police said Monday.”

It goes on to say, ““The price of gold is high, police departments have cut back on manpower and because of bail guidelines, the criminals get right back out on the streets...”

The “James Bond” style burglars “...rent high-end cars, typically work in three or four-man crews and head straight for expensive jewelry, cash and safes.”

Oh, and this part of the news story was telling: “The family’s home alarm sounded, but by the time police arrived, burglars had stolen an unknown amount of jewelry...”

Well, let me introduce Mr. Bond’s friends to a safe they can target and NOT get to before the police arrive. Meet the American Security AMVAULT CF5524 High Security Jewelry Safe

This fellow weighs 2474 pounds, and will withstand severe attacks by experienced U.L. experts using powerful tools such as sledgehammers, power saws, carbide disc cutters, drills, etc.

See it here --and keep James Bond and his band of misfits out of your valuables by calling us at The Safe Place: 775-358-7233.

We’ll get you the best safe and the best (and lowest) price. PROTECT YOUR THINGS.

We Study the News, To Know What Kid of Gun, Fire, And Burglary Safes You Need.

We're up early, studying theft, burglaries, and how to keep your things safe!

As you may know, we monitor burglary and theft news so that we can help our customers do the right things to protect their valuables. We sell gun safes, fire safes, floor and wall safes, TL-15 and TL-30 burglary safes, and we sell safes for convenience stores, home application, and businesses.

A quick scan thru the new just from today (below) tells us plenty about security and safety.  There's the group of teens burglars arrested (smash and grab), there's the naked man who invaded a house and confronted a woman and her children (more lights, better door locks, keep weapons within arms reach --and locked up to avoid having the children handling them). And the burglar who picks his victims by knocking on their doors to find out if someone is home --and we noted this telling bit of info:

The sheriff's department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms worked together to put the 54-year-old Saginaw man behind bars. They say he broke into a Zilwaukee township home, picked a safe, then stole 13 guns, including rifles, shotguns and a muzzle loader, a 20-inch TV, an entertainment system and vacuum.

The home surveillance system captured a photo of the suspect, which was released to the public.
Detectives also say the burglar cut himself on broken glass on his way into the home and left blood evidence behind. His DNA was reportedly already on file with the department from a previous felony record.

It says (above) the thief "picked a safe" ---well, there's a safe that wasn't safe at all! And nobody "picks" a safe that is worth its weight in steel. The 13 guns stolen (and reclaimed, thank goodness) where kept in a cheap security box, no doubt. It also says the thief cut himself by breaking a window. Telling.

If you're looking for advice on what kind of safe to buy --and on how to save money, call us. We are The Safe Place --and NOBODY, no safe dealer in America studies the news and keeps their eyes on what makes things safe, than we do. Our number is: 775-358-7233. We are The Safe Place.

Note: We also offer you the lowest prices and the best bargains in the nation.

How To Buy a Safe: A Short, but Precise, Lesson (Save Money, Time, Etc.)

The way to buy a safe, today, is to do it on-line. I think the way to get the best price, the lowest price in the land, is to call us. We're The Safe Place: 775-358-7233.

The way NOT to buy a safe is to march down to the box store, the sporting goods store, or the COSTCO and let people with absolutely no experience in the consequences of theft, in seeing "safes" peeled open like tin-cans, in hearing about the loss of things that people really, REALLY didn't want to lose ---try and sell you the cheap security box the company bought 1000 of.

You want to call someone, like us, who can cut through the nonsense and tell you what it is you need (by asking you questions) --and what to avoid. Why? Think worst-case scenario. 30 minutes of work BEFORE an incident, is better that 30 months of sadness or anger because the very things you sought to protect by buying a safe, were lost because of misinformation --or worse, in trying to save a $100.

We sell gun, fire, wall, floor, and jewelry safes. We specialize in everything safe --and we guarantee the lowest prices in the nation. Call us: 775-358-7233

Gun Safes and The Right To Bear Arms and to Self-Defense

The Right to Self-Defense.

You and I, we have the right to defend ourselves --and we have the right to keep and bear arms. I believe both ideas to be sound, but I also believe it comes with a responsibility to keep our weapons out of the hands of people who shouldn't touch them --especially young people.

Securing weapons isn't the reason I started selling safes --so many years ago, but it has now become a solid and sound reason I talk to a lot of people about safes. I want people to own guns if they want to --and I want those weapons to be accessible, if needed, but put away safe and sound so that we never, ever have to talk about a tragedy caused by NOT having things in their right place.

We are The Safe Place --and selling safes to people is, for me / us, more than a job. We secure rare artifacts and handguns that must be kept close, but not within the reach of little people (or anyone but the owner). We help secure jewelry that is, for its owners, irreplaceable. We secure gold, cash, documents, camera gear, computers, hard drives, and almost any-and-all things people feel they need to keep safe.

We sell safes at the lowest prices in the nation, guaranteed. We also sell safes that perfectly fit the owners needs. Inexpensive, top-of-the-line, or what have you, we deal in everything safe related.

Our number: 775-358-7233. Call us and save money, save time, save hassles, save your valuables, and --maybe, save some lives.

Commonsense steps to keep guns out of criminals' hands

It's been more than two months since the tragedy in Tucson stunned the nation. It was a moment when we came together as one people to mourn and to pray for those we lost. And in the attack's turbulent wake, Americans by and large rightly refrained from finger-pointing, assigning blame or playing politics with other people's pain.
But one clear and terrible fact remains. A man our Army rejected as unfit for service; a man one of our colleges deemed too unstable for studies; a man apparently bent on violence, was able to walk into a store and buy a gun.
He used it to murder six people and wound 13 others. And if not for the heroism of bystanders and a brilliant surgical team, it would have been far worse.
But since that day, we have lost perhaps another 2,000 members of our American family to gun violence. Thousands more have been wounded. We lose the same number of young people to guns every day and a half as we did at Columbine, and every four days as we did at Virginia Tech.
Every single day, America is robbed of more futures. It has awful consequences for our society. And as a society, we have a responsibility to do everything we can to put a stop to it.
Now, like the majority of Americans, I believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual right to bear arms. And the courts have settled that as the law of the land. In this country, we have a strong tradition of gun ownership that's handed from generation to generation. Hunting and shooting are part of our national heritage. And, in fact, my administration has not curtailed the rights of gun owners — it has expanded them, including allowing people to carry their guns in national parks and wildlife refuges.
The fact is, almost all gun owners in America are highly responsible. They're our friends and neighbors. They buy their guns legally and use them safely, whether for hunting or target shooting, collection or protection.
I know that every time we try to talk about guns, it can reinforce stark divides. People shout at one another, which makes it impossible to listen. We mire ourselves in stalemate, which makes it impossible to get to where we need to go as a country.
However, I believe that if common sense prevails, we can get beyond wedge issues and stale political debates to find a sensible, intelligent way to make the United States of America a safer, stronger place.
I'm willing to bet that responsible, law-abiding gun owners agree that we should be able to keep an irresponsible, law-breaking few — dangerous criminals and fugitives, for example — from getting their hands on a gun in the first place.
That's why our focus right now should be on sound and effective steps that will actually keep those irresponsible, law-breaking few from getting their hands on a gun.
• First, we should begin by enforcing laws that are already on the books. The National Instant Criminal Background Check System is the filter that's supposed to stop the wrong people from getting their hands on a gun. Bipartisan legislation four years ago was supposed to strengthen this system, but it hasn't been properly implemented. It relies on data supplied by states — but that data is often incomplete and inadequate. We must do better.
• Second, we should in fact reward the states that provide the best data — and therefore do the most to protect our citizens.
• Third, we should make the system faster and nimbler. We should provide an instant, accurate, comprehensive and consistent system for background checks to sellers who want to do the right thing, and make sure that criminals can't escape it.
Porous background checks are bad for police officers, for law-abiding citizens and for the sellers themselves. If we're serious about keeping guns away from someone who's made up his mind to kill, then we can't allow a situation where a responsible seller denies him a weapon at one store, but he effortlessly buys the same gun someplace else.
Clearly, there's more we can do to prevent gun violence. But I want this to at least be the beginning of a new discussion on how we can keep America safe for all our people.
Most gun-control advocates know that most gun owners are responsible citizens. Most gun owners know that the word "commonsense" isn't a code word for "confiscation." And none of us should be willing to remain passive in the face of violence or resigned to watching helplessly as another rampage unfolds on television.
As long as those whose lives are shattered by gun violence don't get to look away and move on, neither can we.
We owe the victims of the tragedy in Tucson and the countless unheralded tragedies each year nothing less than our best efforts — to seek consensus, to prevent future bloodshed, to forge a nation worthy of our children's futures.

A Strong, Secure Safe. That What You want to Buy.

Wall and door strength is important in a safe, if you want your valuables to stay secure. You need good components coupled with design and construction quality. During a fire a house roof may fall on your safe and if the walls and door doesn’t hold up, neither doesn’t anything in the safe stay, well...safe. A cheap safe in a big fire can act like a toaster, instead of a barrier.

To get PERFECT ADVICE, and to find the best price, the lowest price if possible, on any safe, be it a gun safe, fire safe, floor or wall safe (any application you can think of) Call us. We are The Safe Place: 775-358-7233

Gun Safes Keep Your Guns Out of the Hands of Children. Please Protect Yourself and Others.

"The Sheriff's office says the victim is 10-year-old Shelby McCorkle of Great falls, who was allegedly shot by his friend, wielding what was believed to be an unloaded gun."

It's another tragic story of a young person playing with a gun that he shouldn't have had access to. Please parents and family, lock your guns in a gun safe.

Please.

Our hearts go out to the families of these children.

Buying a Gun / Fire Safe Without Hassles, for the Lowest Price

Below is another example of writing about safes on the internet ---that just shoots consumer trust all to hell. I have a Google Alert out for gun safes --as I keep a very close eye on the industry (so you don't have to) --and without fail a dozen or two articles on "the best gun safes" shows up every week. Bogus.

If you want to buy a gun safe, a fire safe, or ANY safe, here's the best advice I can give you: CALL US at 775-358-7233, we are The Safe Place.

We'll save you time, money, hassles, and the effort it takes to week through the garbage on the internet.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT read the article, below:

The actual "brand name"Safe is definitely an incredible top-of-the-line weapon safe. Given that the name indicates, this makes use of biometric finger marks acknowledgement technologies for access which means there are no keys to fumble around with or even complex access codes to consider. It is designed for fast entry and is also quite simple to program; all you have got to do will be push an service switch and place your own finger about the scanner, which will then record it and permit only a person inside. You can also record up to 10 different fingerprints to allow other people entry, if you wish. This is one of the highest rated gun safes on Amazon.com, calculating a Four.6 out of 5 rating overall. It’s one of the only safes that contains no negative customer evaluations.
"brand name" Safe Overview:
-Dimensions – 14 x 10.2 x 4.6
-Weight – 22lbs
-9 gauge / 3mm steel
-4 pre-drilled mounting holes
-Lasting storage stores up to 10 finger prints
-Interior – covered in froth padding
-Power – Uses one 9V battery
"brand name" – Exactly how Secure Could it be?
As stated, it is reinforced with 9 evaluate steel and has pre-drilled mounting holes. It can be mounted nearly anywhere that has a flat working surface and it will be nearly impossible for an burglar to get it open. Nevertheless, it’s designed how the person who’s finger marks has been programmed to be given access can quickly and easily retrieve what’s inside… state, a concealed firearm. It takes approximately 2 mere seconds from pushing your finger to the fingerpad towards the safe starting, that is quite fast.
The fasten of the "brand name" is nearly completely pick-proof and drill-proof, meaning it’s going to take someone a lot of effort to obtain inside it. A reviewer from “American Handgunner” magazine noted that they’d opened and closed the safe several hundred times and it has been totally reliable.
"brand name" safe is simply one of the best gun safes on the market. If you want a top-of-the-line secure that affords peace of mind as well as security, you cannot go wrong with this one.
What we liked concerning the "brand name" Gun Safe:
-Very easy to use and access even in the darkish
-Highly secure, easily mountable to any flat surface
-Customer service from "brand name" is some of the best in the market
What we did not like so much:
-We truthfully experienced no issues!

How Not to Secure a Gun Safe! Gun Safe Buying Advice!

This was the new story sent to me today (Below).

Note: Bolts. You bolt your safe down --and this is why:

Thieves Break-in To More Homes

Santa Barbara - Another series of home break-ins has residents in two more neighborhoods on alert.

The first break-in took place Thursday night between 6 and 8 p.m. on the 3600 block of San Gabriel Lane. According to the homeowner, an entire gun safe was stolen from the home. The victim, who asked not to be identified, said 15 firearms were inside. The same home was burglarized last week as well. At that time, the burglars made off with archery equipment and cash.

A second break-in happened on the 1900 block of Castillo Street around 9:30 p.m. The homeowner says he confronted two men breaking into a storage unit and his car.

The suspects took off and ran toward Mission Street. It appears they did not getaway with any items.

Over the past two weeks, KEY News has reported on several home break-ins in the Mesa, San Roque and Samarkand neighborhoods.
Advice!
Please don't buy a safe without talking to us (775-358-7233). This poor fellow who lost his guns AND the safe they were in, should have been warned.

Fire Safes Need to Actually Protect Your Valuables in a Fire

Fire Safes Need to Actually Protect Your Valuables in a Fire

Not all fire safes are the same. Some manufactures, especially those that make safes to be sold at very low prices, make safes that look like fire safes, but don’t, when the pressure is on, ACT like fire safes.

Wouldn’t it be a shame to get a great discount on a fire safe, maybe the lowest price in town, only to have a fire and find out the safe couldn’t handle the heat?

To keep that from happening (You’ll only really curse a safe --or offer praise --is a worst case scenario. The message is: Expect the best, prepare for the worst), call us at The Safe Place: 775-358-7233.

No nonsense, no run-around, no slick sales pitches. Just good info, good safes, sold at great prices.

Buying a Gun Safe, On-line; It's Easy, Affordable, and Look at This Safe!

But, most impressive (and by the way, call us at 775-358-7233 if you're really interested) is the INSIDE.

Look carefully at the inside of this intelligently designed safe!

Shop with us, on-line, as it's discreet (don't let anyone in your community know you're buying a safe --that's YOUR business, yes?), and it's convenient (no kid from a "big-box" retailer's going to tell you how great the safes they're carrying are, when he really knows NOTHING about them --or what's on the market), and inexpensive (we sell LOTS of safes, we keep our overhead low, and we know how to price in a way that serves you, the customer).

Here's some more on The Presidential:

There's nothing like a Presidential. Packed with fire and security features like never before, it's the best of the best. Just ask Mr. Norquist of California. His Presidential survived the San Diego wildfires too. The Presidential packs a whopping 131,000 BTUs and 2.5 HOURS at 1200 degrees. It's massive 6" door not only protects from fire but also adds our "best in class" security features, including Liberty's drill snapping ball-bearing hardplate, gear drive mechanism with slip clutch and thicker 7 gauge steel. No wonder thieves shudder when they see one. A touch of class is added with Liberty's exclusive 5-point ships wheel handle, elegent hand applied beveled edge finishes and a LIGHTED velour interior with our newly trimmed ACCESSORY DOOR PANEL make it, well, Presidential!

A Gun Safe, Affordable, That Weighs In at 6,840 Pounds and has 1" of Steel Plate

This is a gun safe, rated as a TL-15, that is no joke. It costs under $10,000, retails for a LOT more in other stores, and is the kind of safe someone buys when they REALLY have something worth protecting.

Is it the right safe for you? Are there other options?

Stop your search and spend 10 minutes getting a lesson in safe purchasing from one of the most recognized authorities on the subject in the nation, Bill Callos (you can ask anyone on his team too, as they're all veterans of the business).
