Reno, NV (and Nationwide) Consumer Warning on Safes for Valuables

Warning: There is a company, outside of Nevada I'm guessing, that is aggressively advertising "armored" safes in full page ads that cleverly look like newspaper articles. These safes are priced at around $200 --and sold, in the ad I saw this morning anyway, with a promise of FREE SHIPPING to people over 52 years of age.

Almost everything about the ad and the way the product is described is misleading and manipulative. It suggest that the safes are secure enough to store gold and silver in (among other valuables) --and the truth is, these are nothing more that ultra-cheap, un-insulated steel containers. Do not fall victim to people selling junk to people, like seniors, who feel "at risk" and vulnerable.

To find out what is "SAFE" and what kind of safes you should never, EVER put your valuables in, call The Safe Place. We have honest help. 775-358-7233.
