I don’t want to buy the wrong safe. I do, however, want to buy the right safe, for my guns, the ammo I stock, my cameras, some cash, jewelry, and other valuables, at the right price. In fact, if I may be so bold: I want to buy the right safe at the best price, maybe the lowest price, I can possibly get.
I travel a lot, so my safe is going to be sitting in my closet, all alone. I have an alarm system on my house, so anyone who breaks in (unless there’s something that happens to my alarm) only has, I don’t know, 10 minutes?
Knowing how busy the police are in this town --and for the likelihood that my neighbors will, more or less, ignore the audible alarm signal (4 horns) I have outside, I think I want a safe that takes at least 30 to 60 minutes to break into, IF the burglars have brought every tool they can think of. I want a safe that literally explodes when the wrong person tries to open it without my permission (a joke, sort of), but short of that, I just want the best safe my budget allows.
I don’t want to spend more than $2000. Can you advise me?
