The Gun Safe, Fire Safe, and Burglary Safe Chronicles: Fire Protection and Your Safe, Answers, Questions...

If you're thinking about buying a gun safe, you might buy it to keep your guns out of the hands of children and/or anyone else who shouldn't have your guns in their hands. You might buy a gun safe to protect your valuables from theft (of course) --and you might be buying your gun or fire safe as protection against FIRE.

Fire, fire resistance, and "fire-proofing" are topics of discussion in many of the discussions we have with potential safe buyers. And on that note, you should know that there isn't a free standing safe that is "fire proof." All free standing safes are only fire resistant.

Gun / Fire safes are usually rated for one-half, one, two, and three hours of fire "protection." It is estimated that the average home fire burns for 15 to 30 minutes before the-powers-that-be can put it out. To determine if this is true in your circumstances, think about the flammable materials you keep around your home / safe, think about how far the fire dept. is from your place, the availability of water, and other "fire-factors" that might make your house fire burn longer and hotter than someone else's.

For the no-time-wasting, sort-thru-the-sales-hype, get to the bottom line information about fire ratings, fire temps, and anything and everything fire and safe, call us at The Safe Place. There's too much information and mis-information on the web and in people's sales pitches to sort through. Call us at 775-358-7233 and tell us your fire safe needs --and we'll help you find the right gun or fire safe for your situation.

Here's a link to some interesting HOUSE FIRE facts.

The GunSafe Chronicles, Gun Safes, Priced Right (Fire, Burglary too!)

The GunSafe Chronicles: Everything Gun Safe, Fire and Burglary Safes

This is, for now, “The Gun Safe Chronicles,” where I, in a couple of hundred words, talk to you about gun, fire, and burglary safes --hopefully in a no-nonsense way that makes you want to call us (www.TheSafePlace.com 775-358-7233) for prices, advice, and ordering, before you go somewhere where you spend more money and time than you need to, to get a safe that might not be what you really need.

Allow me to show you a gun / fire safe you can buy for under $1500, that has some real benefits. I’m talking about the Cannon Patriot P40 Gun Safe (see it by clicking on that link). This fine little safe measures 59"H x 40"W x 24"D, it weighs 600 pounds, and sports a 1” steel composite door. It also holds 36 guns. It retails in the $1500 range (and, of course we sell it for under $1000, --and we sell all our safes at rates you simply will not find in your area).

Call us for more info at 775-358-7233. We sell and ship all over the known universe.

One of My Favorite Gun Safes for Under $500

Now let me remind you: You do NOT buy a safe based on the price alone; you buy a safe based on the value of what you’re going to put in it, the space you have, and the size of storage space you need.

That being said:

For keeping guns out of harms way, my one of my favorite safes is the GunVault GV5900 Gun Safe

This safe only weighs 210 pounds, so getting it upstairs in your house, on the second floor of your apartment building, or into your penthouse loft is painless. You can put in a standard closet and bolt it to the floor and/or the wall. It hods 12 rifles, has four 1” locking bolts, and it’s a darn fine safe of under $500 (it actually retails in most stores for well over $500, but we currently have it for sale at $499.

Of course we have many other safes, one to fit your needs and budget. Call us at 775-358-7233.

A Safe Downstairs, a Pistol Safe Upstairs. A Safe Place for Your Guns

I don’t live in the best neighborhood in town, but it’s where I live. I have a two story house and I own a gun safe, which is down the stairs from my bedroom, where I keep two guns and other valuables. I have children and I so I keep my guns under lock and key. A few months ago I had someone break a window on my back door in an attempted burglary. I scared them away, I think, by turning on the lights and yelling, but in the commotion I realized that my safe was too far from where I needed my guns to be in an emergency like the one I found my self in.

I called The Safe Place and two days later a pistol safe arrived at my front door. The crew at The Safe Place even walked me through the installation on a SKYPE video call, which was especially helpful and very gracious of them.

I recommend The Safe Place for their customer service, for their honesty, for their low prices, and for their fast delivery. Thank you.

No, THANK YOU! We are The Safe Place, 775-358-7233

3 Tips for Buying a Gun / Fire Safe at a Really Low (Cheap Even!) Price.

I’d like to reveal the three things you have to know to get the best price, the lowest price, a real (genuine) “bargain price,” on a fire, gun, floor, wall, or burglary safe.

Here we go:

1. Know someone “in the business.” Yes, if you know someone in the business of buying large quantities of safes, someone who also invests in what it takes to actually move those safes, year after year, and who prides himself in pricing his (or her) safes lower than just about anyone else is even capable of, then you’re in. Allow me to introduce you to Bill Callos and his staff at The Safe Place. You’re not a stranger for very long when you know Bill and his team, as they sell 1000’s of safes a year --and they don’t do that by treating people with anything but a “best friend” attitude. How will you know when you’re “in” ? When you get a great price!

The Safe Place: 775-358-7233

2. Know what you want in a safe (but be flexible enough to take some advice). Our advice, by the way, is on tap for you, NOT on top!

3. OK, I forgot what number 3 is! But that’s not a problem. If you know the folks at The Safe Place and you call them in advance of buying any safe, you’re going to get the best price possible.

By the way, the safe in the picture is the

All Burglars are Stupid, Buy a Safe to Protect Your Valuables!

Bumbling burglary suspect leaves driver's license at crime scene

Ahh, if only all burglars were this stupid! Wouldn't it be a kinder, gentler world?

Unfortunately, not many of them leave their driver's licenses behind, like this genius. Some crooks can actually do some very creative things to get to your valuables. Please put them away (your valuables AND you ID), in a safe of your own, before someone has the chance to make you feel creepy beyond words.

The Safe Place (that's us) sells gun, fire, jewelry, deposit, wall, and floor safes --1000's of them --and we sell them at the lowest prices possible. Call us at 775-358-7233 for advice, quotes, and information.

Keep the Theft Ring Out of Your Rings and Things. BUY A SAFE!

The headline reads:

Police intercept theft ring tied to 30-plus burglaries around metro

The story goes on to say: "Most of the break-ins occurred in the north metro in February and March. The thieves netted such items as TVs, computers, hunting rifles and collectible coins and cards..."

We (The Safe Place) would like to suggest that you have a safe to protect things that burglars covet? Whether you are looking for a bis safe --or a small one --a fire, gun, or jewelry safe, we can get you the best price on it.

Call us at 775-358-7233, we ship safes all over the nation.

James Bond, meet TL-30. A Burglary Safe to Protect Your Jewelry

James Bond, meet TL-30

The news reads, “ A spate of James Bond gang-style burglaries targeting wealthy neighborhoods stems from a combination of economic factors, lenient bail restrictions and a lack of awareness on the part of residents, police said Monday.”

It goes on to say, ““The price of gold is high, police departments have cut back on manpower and because of bail guidelines, the criminals get right back out on the streets...”

The “James Bond” style burglars “...rent high-end cars, typically work in three or four-man crews and head straight for expensive jewelry, cash and safes.”

Oh, and this part of the news story was telling: “The family’s home alarm sounded, but by the time police arrived, burglars had stolen an unknown amount of jewelry...”

Well, let me introduce Mr. Bond’s friends to a safe they can target and NOT get to before the police arrive. Meet the American Security AMVAULT CF5524 High Security Jewelry Safe

This fellow weighs 2474 pounds, and will withstand severe attacks by experienced U.L. experts using powerful tools such as sledgehammers, power saws, carbide disc cutters, drills, etc.

See it here --and keep James Bond and his band of misfits out of your valuables by calling us at The Safe Place: 775-358-7233.

We’ll get you the best safe and the best (and lowest) price. PROTECT YOUR THINGS.

We Study the News, To Know What Kid of Gun, Fire, And Burglary Safes You Need.

We're up early, studying theft, burglaries, and how to keep your things safe!

As you may know, we monitor burglary and theft news so that we can help our customers do the right things to protect their valuables. We sell gun safes, fire safes, floor and wall safes, TL-15 and TL-30 burglary safes, and we sell safes for convenience stores, home application, and businesses.

A quick scan thru the new just from today (below) tells us plenty about security and safety.  There's the group of teens burglars arrested (smash and grab), there's the naked man who invaded a house and confronted a woman and her children (more lights, better door locks, keep weapons within arms reach --and locked up to avoid having the children handling them). And the burglar who picks his victims by knocking on their doors to find out if someone is home --and we noted this telling bit of info:

The sheriff's department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms worked together to put the 54-year-old Saginaw man behind bars. They say he broke into a Zilwaukee township home, picked a safe, then stole 13 guns, including rifles, shotguns and a muzzle loader, a 20-inch TV, an entertainment system and vacuum.

The home surveillance system captured a photo of the suspect, which was released to the public.
Detectives also say the burglar cut himself on broken glass on his way into the home and left blood evidence behind. His DNA was reportedly already on file with the department from a previous felony record.

It says (above) the thief "picked a safe" ---well, there's a safe that wasn't safe at all! And nobody "picks" a safe that is worth its weight in steel. The 13 guns stolen (and reclaimed, thank goodness) where kept in a cheap security box, no doubt. It also says the thief cut himself by breaking a window. Telling.

If you're looking for advice on what kind of safe to buy --and on how to save money, call us. We are The Safe Place --and NOBODY, no safe dealer in America studies the news and keeps their eyes on what makes things safe, than we do. Our number is: 775-358-7233. We are The Safe Place.

Note: We also offer you the lowest prices and the best bargains in the nation.

The Lowest Prices on Great Safes in the United States. We say YES. Buy a Safe!

Here's our advice (before you need it, hopefully). Buy a safe. Put it in your house, apartment, and/or place of business. Bolt it down-- and if it's small, hide it if you can.

Get a bargain on what you pay for your safe, as there are people and companies, like me/us, that specialize in selling LOTS of safes, so our prices become significantly lower than the business that stocks a few.

Call us for help and pricing: The Safe Place, 775-358-7233

Get a safe to protect your checkbooks, your electronics, your emergency credit cards, jewelry, coins, papers you can't lose, and your guns (always lock your guns away).

Buy a safe (you don't have to spend a lot of money; the safe you need is probably going to cost you 1/20th of what you'll store inside it) and get in the habit of putting things away when you go away. Buy a safe at the lowest possible price --one that supplies the maximum protection for the things you'll store in it.

Here's a low priced safe for someone looking for a good deal of storage space:
