Do make sure you buy a safe with a fire-rating.

Not all safes are as safe from fire as you might want them to be. Some safes aren’t meant to resist heat at all. There are even safes that are large enough to put another, smaller, “media safe” inside, should you need to double protect film or other heat sensitive materials.
