Gun Safes for Guns Must be Secured or Heavy to Avoid Being Carried Off

The police report from Boston reads: Southerly Road, 900 block. Between 3 p.m. Oct. 14 and 5 p.m. Oct. 16. Someone used keys to enter an apartment and stole one safe containing a Baltimore City police service weapon and two loaded magazines and another safe containing ammunition, body armor and keys to the apartment and cars, police said.

Well, this is a head's up that firearms of any sort should not be kept in a container that isn't secured or too heavy for someone to cart off.

Gun safes aren't just to keep people from firing weapons, it's to keep them from getting stolen.

Here's a gun safe that won't get carted off. It's the

Browning Tactical Series Mark II AR26F Gun Safe

Someone's going to have to come pretty darned prepared to cart this gun safe out of your house or office. It weighs 725 pounds --and you're going to bolt it down too. It has a 60 Minutes fire rating at 1200ºF and all sorts of other interesting and useful features.
